OUTCOME

Throughout this project sales data was analysed from Telsa Motors automotive product portfolio. Further work included the following to evaluate an appropriate new product offering:

  • Boston Consulting Group Matrix

  • GE/McKinsey Multifactor Matrix

  • Ansoff Matrix

  • PESTLE Analysis

  • SWOT Analysis

  • 7's of Marketing Mix

  • Questionnaire and Brainstorm

  • House of Quality

The work conducted allowed a market opportunity to be indentified and due to the overall strength of the electric vehicle business unit within Tesla, and the increasing rate of growth, the electrical vehicle market was targeted as a sector to release the product offering into. A Tesla Bus has been evaluated throughout this report for the new product release and would allow Tesla to broaden its product portfolio within electrical vehicles.
