OUTCOME

During this project a consumer project was selected and modelled using curve modelling techniques within NX such as; spline curves and shape studio. Following the successful modelling of the product, the curves were then analysed using face analysis and reflection techniques to determine the consistency and smoothness of the curves. A treadmill cowling model was then used to evaluate the manufacturing capabilities of NX and after creating the mould, the different tools and operations required were inputed into the software. These operations were then transfered to Vericut for final verification of the manufacturing process of the mould. Data management and design illustration techniques were then assessed within the software.

After these steps were completed a thorough report critically evaluating Siemens NX was complied, outlining the numberous benefits, limitations and opportunities within the software.
